PS Arts is an amazing art education program offered at our school to all our children. No district money pays for it (it is funded privately) and it is taught by trained artists. They are only asking us for money for art supplies.

I would love to know if we could “vote” or voice opinion about raising money for PS Arts through one of our Bake Sales coming up. My limited understanding is that majority of Bake Sale money helps to fund field trips? I would personally vote one of the Bake Sales profits be slotted towards PS ARTS. Its a wonderful program and all kids benefit weekly from it….not just a one day a year fieldtrip. Would just like to know if this discussion is a possibility or if bake sale profits are already marked toward something else….
There are the last few bake sales that are available, we can sell ice cream and earmark for ps arts….why don’t we talk about it at the next pta meeting Febuary 1st at 3pm. Great idea!
